In 2017 the Pérez Trespalacios Collection began its exhibition history with Of Men and Myths. Pre-Columbian Sacrifice and Ritual, presented at the Cordón Cultural Centre in Burgos in partnership with the Fundación Caja de Burgos, an institution that recognised the extraordinary cultural value of the collection and helped to make it known.

This first exhibition was a decisive milestone, prompting the publication of the collection’s comprehensive catalogue, produced in collaboration with Donald Proulx, professor emeritus at the University of Massachusetts. The work achieved wide international distribution, both in Spain and across Latin America, from Mexico to Chile, as well as in the United States.
