Mundus Novus

Memory and Legacy of Two Worlds
Making the invisible visible

Mundus Novus is an exhibition of the Pérez Trespalacios Collection that explores how the encounter between Europe and the Americas changed our conception of the world forever. Through historical cartography, pre-Columbian and colonial codices, New Spain chronicles, first editions of historical works and accounts of scientific expeditions, the show reconstructs a story of discovery, knowledge and cultural exchange. A journey through the legacy of a shared history and the deep imprint that Spain and the Americas left on each other’s cultures and identities.
