Santa Cruz de La Palma

In 2024 the Pérez Trespalacios Collection took its exhibition project to the island of La Palma, reaching the most distant destination in its history up to that point. The CajaCanarias Cultural Centre in Santa Cruz de La Palma hosted Ancient Peru. The Lost Empires, a show that became a notable event in the cultural life of the island’s capital.

The exhibition was the result of a major joint effort with the Fundación CajaCanarias, which made it possible to bring an exceptional set of archaeological pieces, display cases and lighting systems to the island. A full programme of lectures, guided tours and educational activities enriched the show, reaffirming the collection’s commitment to disseminating the cultural heritage of pre-Columbian America.
