Alma de América. Pre-Columbian Art and Myth
29 May 2026 — 31 Aug 2026
Words of thanks

In 2026 the Pérez Trespalacios Collection arrived in Salamanca, a historic university city and a landmark of humanist thought, with an ambitious exhibition project framed by the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the School of Salamanca. The show, made up of Alma de América. Pre-Columbian Art and Myth and Mundus Novus, had the backing of Salamanca’s institutions and the support of the University of Salamanca.

The exhibition once again reached a prominent institutional dimension, with representatives of the Andean Parliament and the Consulate of Peru in attendance, and was met with an extraordinary reception from critics and the public.

This new stage also involved a thorough renewal of the museography, with completely updated exhibition graphics, new signage and a renewed lighting system. A commitment to excellence that reflects the living, dynamic character of the collection, its constant will to evolve and its commitment to offering the public an ever richer cultural experience.
